3rd place at Falcon Invitational

The third annual Falcon Invitational was held at Stone Ridge on April 13th and 14th. Even though the wind and rain did not let up, the ladies played 36 holes, instead of 54, and ended in 3rd place. On the second day, the BGSU team had the lowest team score in the field with a 322, this is also the lowest score for BG this spring. Megan Gormley finished one off the lead with a 158, Megan Bader had a 162, and Lauren Glew shot a 165, which placed all three Falcons in the top 11. We had a lot of fun playing on our home course, even though the sun was not shining, we still enjoyed ourselves!

With this strong finish, the team headed to Hannah Lambert's home course of Pine Hills to play in the Cleveland State Invitational. Although the practice round was nice, the girls only completed one hole before the course was declared unplayable, and the tournament was cancelled.

Up next is the MAC Championship April 24th - 26th. This tournament is 72 holes (more than we have competed in one tournament all year). Longaberger Golf Course is a challenging course in southern Ohio, but the Falcons are ready for it!! The team has seen this course before and we are excited to get out there and end the season strong!!
